350Kishwaukee, located in the Kishwaukee River Watershed in Illinois, exists to allow everyone to participate in the global climate change movement.
GOALS FOR 350KISHWAUKEE
1. To grow the awareness of the urgent need to reduce CO2 in our atmosphere to 350 parts per million.
2. To provide a forum for members to learn more about the climate change crisis and how we can each reduce our personal use of fossil fuels and to rapidly move the world to a clean energy economy.
3. To educate other people so they understand the climate change crisis and learn how they can reduce their use of fossil fuels and take action to rapidly move the world to a clean energy economy.
4. To educate people in our region concerning the tar sands pipelines and pumping stations. To take a leadership role in opposing them.
5. To educate people in our region on the importance of divestment from fossil fuel corporations. To take a leadership role in encouraging organizations, institutions, and individuals to divest.
6. To advocate for the creation of sources of alternative energy and small businesses that provide more earth friendly products and services.
