What is #7MinutesOfJustice?

I don't want to feel scared, powerless, and hopeless anymore. When I my kids and grandkids and great-grandkids ask me what I did after the election of 2016, I want to be able to say that I spoke out and was active in the peace, justice and equality movement. But, of course, I'm also terribly busy running my own life and business. #7MinutesOfJustice is my personal solution, and it's helped me enormously. I take 7 minutes each day in action towards justice.

Some possible #7MinutesOfJustice actions:

*send one email asking leaders to stand up for justice

*send one snail-mail letter to government officials asking them to stand up for justice

*sign one petition for justice

*donate to one cause standing up for justice

Very simple. Very quick. I also post about it using #7MinutesOfJustice, so anyone can choose to use the information and script for their own action. I am sick to death of feeling upset, helpless, and only posting on social media about something horrifying that's happening in our country right now; #7MinutesOfJustice helps me feel like I have taken some action and hold some power. And then I visualize you and millions of others who want to stand up for justice joining me in one small act for justice every day...and that's when I am able to tend the small flame that believes that together we are unstoppable.
