We're Berkshire County's grassroots Democratic organization, supporting progressive issues & candidates locally, statewide & nationally. Join us! The Berkshire Democratic Brigades is Berkshire County's official representative of the Massachusetts Democratic Party, created as an ad hoc group in 2004 and formally organized in 2005. We actively promote and support progressive values and candidates locally, statewide and nationally. The Brigades is dedicated to building a strong volunteer base for political action by improving communication, local organization, education and participation by people of all ages, creeds, color, ethnicity, race, gender and sexual orientation. Our goal is to unite and recruit progressive grassroots organizers throughout the Berkshires, and to be educated, organized and ready to elect progressive candidates. The Brigades is governed by a steering committee made up of the Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary, and members. We also have special interest committees to address the issues of importance in today's political climate. Join us!
