Hands On Hartford’s three direct service programs provide food, housing, and related support to Hartford’s poorest residents. The Engagement Program connects volunteers to our direct service sites and engages local communities in large scale projects.

Hands On Hartford (formerly Center City Churches) provides direct services to people in need by promoting civic engagement and volunteerism. Our vision is to bring agencies, volunteers, congregations, community organizations, donors and businesses together to make a significant impact on our community.

Hands On Hartford’s direct service programs include MANNA Community Pantry and Neighborhood Services, providing basic human needs assistance such as nutrition, and family support services, MANNA Community Meals, a soup kitchen and day shelter, and Hands On Hartford Housing, providing supportive housing for people with complex health issues. We are non-sectarian.
