Welcome to the East / North East Des Moines (SD16 / HD 31&32) chapter of Indivisible Iowa! - Who are we? We are Indivisible. We are a local community-oriented group that networks with other active local groups and with the larger efforts of Indivisible Iowa. Our community represents SD16 and HD 31 & 32 in the neighborhoods of East and Northeast Des Moines and Pleasant Hill. Download the Indivisible Guide and give it a read... it is a great resource that we are using across the nation to keep some continuity to our efforts and help local groups get started! https://www.indivisibleguide.com/download-the-guide - Our Mission: The mission of Indivisible is to inform, connect, empower, and activate our communities in an effort to resist, disrupt and counteract the agenda of the Trump administration and the related legislative agendas that are affecting our local governments. This is a community to connect communities, it is a place to make friends and to have our voices be heard. This is an opportunity to ask questions, to find information, to connect resources, to lend a hand and to get active. We happen to be one of the most culturally, ethnically and religiously diverse districts of the Des Moines area and our group is here to help us listen to and learn from each other, and to help make our voices heard where it matters most. This isn't just a group for one party or another, this is about being inclusive... it's about being indivisible and working together despite our differences. - Where is Senate District 16 / House Districts 31 & 32? Our districts include the East Village and the Des Moines Capitol complex, Birdland Park, Union Park and Highland Park neighborhoods, Grandview University neighborhoods, the Iowa State Fairgrounds neighborhoods and Pleasant Hill.
