***PLEASE READ*** ***GROUP GOALS AND RULES*** What makes us Indivisible? Our group's mission is Building Community, Defending Democracy across Central Washington. This requires all of us to advocate for informed democratic engagement by each and every member of our community. We do this with civility and respect for our neighbors, even when we disagree. We implement our mission by: 1) Engaging with our elected officials, collectively expressing our needs as constituents, and holding these officials accountable for their actions and promises. 2) Showing our community how policy decisions affect them. 3) Informing our community about upcoming elections, distributing information about candidates, and assisting with voter registration. 3) Seeking common ground with our neighbors who share concerns about policy which goes against the better interests of most constituents. We therefore ask you, as members of Indivisible WA-4, to focus respectful discussion on these goals: - How can we promote transparency and hold our elected officials accountable? - How will our Central Washington community be helped or hurt by bills, executive orders, resolutions, etc. at the local, state, and federal levels? - How can we better engage our community in informed democracy? We defend our democracy, its people, and their liberties. We block harmful legislation moving through Congress. We shine a light on our representatives, especially those who consistently advocate for policies that harm WA-4 constituents.
