New Mexico Indivisible Congress spontaneously formed when a number of group leaders met to get to know one another. Ed Shapero reached out to me (Barbara Lemaire) to get together for lunch to determine what is working and what wasn’t for Santa Fe Indivisible and Indivisible Nob Hill. We would up being about 10 people 3 from Indivisible Nob Hill Rayellen, Gary and me. Ed Shapero, Renee Athey and a couple of other from Santa Fe and Diane Title from Truth or Consequences. Craig Barth (who also called me to meet for lunch) and Mark Watson from Cochiti Lake. The outcome of the lunch was to form NMIC and to reach-out to all of the Indivisible groups to make this experience available to all. • We sent out letters to as many as we had contact information. • We sent out a survey to discover what needs groups had. It is our intention to start strategizing how Indivisible groups working together can leverage our numbers to effect change in the elections in 2018. The goal is that each Indivisible group send one or two members to learn the information to bring back to their group to share and to act as liaisons from NMIC to your group.
