The Indivisible Council has changed its name to the Okanogan Action Coalition! Since the 2016 elections, Indivisible inspired groups and individuals have organized the Women’s March, the Climate March, a Town Hall, weekly phone calls to our Representatives, letters to the editor, and more. Though we continue to embrace our resistance roots, we know we must do more than just resist. We must listen to our friends and neighbors, educate each other on issues of importance to our community, and we must leverage support around issues and candidates that reflect our values. In order to achieve our mission of a transparent, fair and inclusive democracy, we have transformed ourselves from the Indivisible Council into the Okanogan Action Coalition. We envision an informed citizenry that holds government accountable, encourages a just, tolerant, diverse, and free society, and supports a healthy, thriving community and environment. We as Okanogan citizens can make a difference through our action, so thank you for joining our cause!
