The Open Society Policy Center (OSPC), a non-partisan public policy organization organized under section 501(c)(4) of the tax code, was launched in the aftermath of September 11, 2001. It was established and is funded by billionaire George Soros. The stated goal of the OSPC is "to be a leading center of policy advocacy. The office will address both domestic and international policy issues, with core focus areas including domestic civil liberties, multilateralism, economic development, civil rights, equal rights for women and global economic governance.
