Our Revolution Western Maryland has developed a three prong approach to EDUCATE, AGITATE, and ELECT as a grassroots and transparent method of implementing Our Revolution's core missions. Western Maryland includes the regions of Allegany County, Frederick County, Garrett County, and Washington County. The Our Revolution Western Maryland steering committee includes: Kaitlynn Sumpter - Chair Susannah Gill Lapping - Co-Chair Chris Izzo - Treasurer Millicent Hall - Outreach Susan Martin - Member Action Network Vanessa Gress - Social Media Randy Barber - Member The Our Revolution – Western Maryland (OR-WM) Facebook Group encourages its members to share and raise awareness about issues that are important to them. This means you may encounter opinions that are different from yours, which we believe can lead to important conversations and understanding. However, to help balance the needs, safety, and interests of our diverse community, we may remove certain kinds of content or limit the audience that sees it. Below are the rules and guidelines of the group that we will follow while moderating the group page. 1. We permit critical discussion of people who are featured in the news or have a large public audience. However, we will remove credible threats to public figures and private individuals, as well as hate speech directed at them. This is an immediately bannable offense. 2. OR-WM will not tolerate bullying or harassment. We allow you to speak freely on matters and people of public interest, but will remove content that appears to purposefully target private individuals with intention of degrading or shaming them. This includes name calling, violent language, hateful or discriminatory comments, or other abuse. If you think someone is being inflammatory or inappropriate towards you, please let the administrators know. The policy will be to warn the poster three times, on the third time you will be removed from the group. 3. If comments from a group member are determined to be trolling, you may be removed from the group at the discretion of the group administrators. 4. If a post is determined to be irrelevant to the OR-WM group it will be removed. 5. No vulgar, graphic, or disturbing posts. The group administrators are as follows: Susannah Lapping, Susan Martin, Vanessa Gress, Randy Barber, Chris Izzo, Millicent Hall, and Kaitlynn Sumpter. They can be reached via Facebook messaging, or via email at ourrevolutionwmd@gmail.com. The administrators moderate posts and comments, and may remove people from the group as they see fit using the above guidelines. Additionally, the administrators are responsible for screening potential new members that request to join the group.
