We seek full equality for LGBTQ Workers in our workplaces and unions. Wework towards creating a Labor Movement that cherishes diversity,encourages openness, and ensures safety& dignity. We aim to educate the LGBTQ Community about the benefitsof a union contract for LGBTQ working people, and to build support andsolidarity for the union movement in the LGBTQ community. Weorganize in the spirit of the union movement's historic motto, "AnInjury to One is An Injury to All." We oppose all forms ofdiscrimination on the job and in our unions based on sex, genderidentity and expression, sexual orientation, race, national or ethnicorigin, age, disability, religion or political views. We are the Eastern Massachusetts chapter of Pride at Work, the LGBTQ constituency group of the AFL-CIO, the largest labor federation in the US. Pride at Work Boston, Massachusetts, is a chapter of the Pride at Work. officially recognized LGBT constituency group of the AFL-CIO (American Federation of Labor & Congress of Industrial Organizations.) We organize mutual support between the organized Labor Movement and the LGBT Community for social and economic justice. We support the aspirations of all workers whether organized or not. In addition to national Pride at Work, more than 20 Chapters organize at the state and local level around the country. We seek full equality for LGBT Workers in our workplaces and unions.
