SAFE is 'Standing Against Foreclosure & Eviction.' We believe Housing is a Human Right! We take inspiration from City Life/Vida Urbana, the Boston based organization that organizes people to fight to stay in their homes. We also stand in solidarity with Housing Justice and Human Rights struggles and movements all across the globe. SAFE is a Seattle based grassroots organization dedicated to building a mass movement to stop bank and renter evictions, achieve principal reduction, and put people before profit. SAFE uses a Defensive & Offensive strategy. Defense is knowing your legal rights & defending yourself legally. Offense is public protest & public pressure on banks and landlords.
