The Shreveport-Bossier chapter of NOW has been serving women in Northwest Louisiana since August 26, 2012. Our priority issues in Shreveport-Bossier are: Access to Reproductive Rights Racial Justice Economic Equality Ending Workplace Discrimination LGBT rights Coalition-Building throughout Louisiana. The Shreveport-Bossier chapter of NOW has been serving women in Northwest Louisiana since August 26, 2012. Public meetings: 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6pm. NOW's purpose is to take action in order to bring women into full participation in the mainstream of American society; exercising all privileges and responsibilities thereof in truly equal partnership with men. This purpose includes, but is not limited to, equal rights and responsibilities in all aspects of citizenship, public service, employment, education and family life, and freedom from discrimination due to race, religion, ethnic origin, age, marital status, sexual preference/orientation, parenthood, or gender identity/expression.
