GROWING WOMEN LEADERS FROM THE GROUND UP. California women are under-represented in federal, state and local government. It is time to bring progressive women to the table. We are going to do that. Catalina’s List was inspired and affirmed by the Sister Giant event held right after the November 2012 election and Marianne Williamson's call to action. On November 13th, one week after the election, three women established Catalina's List to find a new kind of political candidate that will, in the words of Sister Giant, “bring humanitarian principles and the love ethic” to the world of politics for a better today and future. Our growing Board of Directors will be comprised of leaders who support our mission from across the region and state. Our backgrounds are diverse, but the common link is our belief that until women are better represented at all levels in government, women's issues will not receive the compassionate consideration they deserve. And we know that women's issues are in essence, universal issues impacting all aspects of our community.
