Defend Movement is a grassroots community organization dedicated to defending the rights of all targeted communities from discrimination and bigotry. DEFEND MOVEMENT - WHO ARE WE Defend Movement, founded 2017, is a coalition dedicated to defending the rights of all targeted communities. This organization was initially founded to protect the rights of our undocumented brothers and sisters and the Brown community as a whole from racial profiling and unjust treatment during a time of political turmoil when the term mass deportation is used casually. Our members are dedicated to reaching out to Southern California communities targeted by alt-right groups attempting to spread their inflammatory rhetoric and attacking cities through economic initiatives to defund them, and counter these actions through education about the plans and initiatives filed by these groups. Our organization is made up of dedicated activists who engage in non-violent opposition at local city council meetings, town halls and other community events to ensure that they are not controlled or disrupted by these aggressive groups. Defend Movement is not affiliated with any political party and will work with people of all backgrounds and political beliefs who share the common goal of protecting civil rights of all disenfranchised and oppressed people. Defend Movement encourages people in these communities to get involved by attending our actions, or via canvassing and social media.
