This group is for discussions surrounding the Metro East and IL 12th in the 12th District of Illinois. However, unless otherwise specified, posts and comments in this Group do not reflect the official opinions of the Indivisible Metro East. For official statements, please check out https://www.facebook.com/IndivisibleMetroEast/ The goal of this group is for residents of the Metro East and IL 12th Congressional District to work together to pressure our local, state, and our Members of Congress who represent us - (Representative Mike Bost, Senator Tammy Duckworth, and Senator Dick Durbin) - to resist Trump's agenda and uplift our communities with progressive policies. Rules of conduct on this page will be simple: 1. Be civil: Treat others with basic decency – no personal attacks, shill accusations, hate speech, trolling, or unsubstantiated accusations. 2. No rehashing of the 2016 Democratic primary. Regarding #2, if you would like to discuss the merits or pitfalls of the Democratic party moving more left or more center, that's fine, but let's keep things general and avoid bringing the emotions from the actual primary back to the front of everyone's minds.
