Welcome to West Town United, the local Indivisible chapter for Wicker Park, Bucktown, Ukrainian Village, East Village, and Noble Square/Eckhart Park. We are connected to and coordinating with Indivisible chapters across Illinois’ Fifth Congressional District. Our goals are to: **Resist the Trump agenda through targeted progressive advocacy at the city, state, and federal levels **Make political activism accessible, organized, and sustainable for our neighbors **Support and amplify important work already happening throughout West Town This group is open to anyone and everyone in West Town looking to resist the Trump agenda and support progressive values, regardless of background, personal identity, or prior experience with politics and activism. We operate through regular gatherings—at least monthly—to hang out, share information, and define our priorities and next actions together. Smaller, more flexible working groups will be dedicated to particular issues (e.g., the environment, immigrant justice, reproductive rights, the Illinois gubernatorial race) and particular areas of focus or expertise (e.g., political campaign mechanics, neighborhood outreach, communications and design, super badass playlists).
