North Dakota Blue Dots promotes a progressive, humane, inclusive, and reasoned agenda in a predominately red state. We will resist any policies that do not adhere to this agenda - including those of the sitting POTUS - through direct, coordinated, non-violent action. The goal is to provide useful tools to enhance the efficacy of our political activism. We are stronger and more effective if we act collectively to influence our elected representatives; so this group will track political appointments and nominations, upcoming legislation, events, and other opportunities to make your voice heard. This group is specifically focused on influencing Members of Congress from North Dakota. By participating in our calls to action (which will include coordinated calling campaigns to your Members of Congress, attending townhall meetings, etc) you can join other like-minded constituents to make sure our elected officials truly represent us. As members you have the ability to write posts and add other members. Please limit posts to specific ideas for political action or issues deserving the group's attention. While I'm sure we all enjoy political cartoons or memes sharing those isn't the point of this group and shouldn't be posted here simply because we don't want to distract from the central mission (specific actions to resist Trump and Republican’s regressive agenda). Please add anyone you think would be interested in joining, but also please use your discretion. Please only add those you know are supportive of the mission of this group and who will be respectful to other members. This group has a local focus and is intended to support action in North Dakota since we will be most effective if we coordinate to influence our Members of Congress. The urge to contact Congresspeople outside your district may be strong, but since you are not a voter in their district they are unlikely to listen to you. Hence, the best use of our time is to target Congresspeople from our home district/state.
