North Forkers for the Common Good are people who welcome, organize with, and represent all who will help promote economic, social, racial, and environmental justice on Long Island's North Fork and beyond. We were previously known as North Fork BEES. We are your friends and neighbors on the North Fork advocating for progressive policies on the local, state and national level. North Forkers for the Common Good (NFCG) was born out of the Bernie Sanders campaign. We are an independent member group of NY PAN - NY Progressive Action Network. NY PAN doesn't tell us what issues to work on or how to conduct our campaigns as long as it is consistent with the agenda put forth by Bernie Sanders. We are non-partisan, in that we are issue-driven and do not require membership in a particular party nor are we (as an organization) aligned with a political party. We are strongly progressive in our positions, which may mean that more often than not we have more in common with the Democrats, but on any given issue that may not be true and we will gladly work with Republicans, Conservatives, Independence Party, Working Families Party or unaffiliated people. We believe the broader the participation, the better, and we welcome ideas and input from anyone willing to show up and participate.
