The Rye City Democratic Committee welcomes your involvement! For decades, the Rye City Democratic Party has brought knowledgeable, hardworking people to serve as Rye City Council members and Mayors. These include State Senator George Latimer (a former member of the City Council), State Assemblyman Steve Otis (a former Mayor), County Legislator Catherine Parker (a former member of the City Council) and former Mayors John Carey and Warren Ross. We are currently working to recruit and support candidates for public office, inspire public participation in government, evaluate and support issues, raise voter turnout for Democratic candidates, and act as a conscience in our community.
